May Arts and Graphic 45

May Arts has teamed up with Graphic 45 for a creative week of inspiration-with today being the final day of the blog hop.  I am honored to be a part of this and thank you all for taking a look at my projects.

I created a keepsake box and Artistic Trading Cards-displayed on velvet ribbon-that can fit in the box.

To create the wooden box I decapodged old dictionary paper along the side of the box and painted the top, bottom and inside with acrylic paints.  I glued green velvet trim and topped the box with an ATC made from the G45 kraft reflections paper.  I embellished the card with sewn ribbons, chip tag, metal butterfly, holes punched and lots of ribbon knots.

I love the size, shape and feel of a playing card and often use them as a base for projects. Inspired by the G45 All Decked Out  paper I went ahead and used some playing cards as bases for my ATC’s and  also threw in some plain cards with only  holes punched for variety. Each ATC has ribbon, holes, paint and the G45 QUOTE...UNQUOTE paper for continuity. For the quotes,  I picked the sayings that meant the most to me. I then knotted, clipped, threaded cards on the velvet ribbon to put them on display.

Supplies:
May Arts ribbon 389-18-46, 3899-18-34, 392-58-09,SM09,340-32
G45 Kraft reflections paper
G45 metal butterflies

Quilt

This quilt is one of my favorites.  I started working on the top in 2009 and completed the binding in 2012.  The end result is a comfy quilt ready for a nap!

Sketch

Here is a card sketch I came up with.  It is pretty versatile and I have made quite a few cards with it as a starting point.  Enjoy!

SOLD!

Last Thursday I went to Sullivan and Son for yet another auction with my friend, Tammy.  Let's say I am hooked!!  WE are both hooked!

I usually am all about the dishes and vintage glass.  I did buy one jar pictured above.  This time...I was all about the primitive wooden boxes and old shelves.  Below is a picture of the trailer that was next up for auction.  I ended up getting a lot of the boxes pictured.
Below most of my loot is pictured.  I had a blast and ended up with some fun finds.  Gotta love an auction.  I do.
